What are Missional Careers?

That's a great question!  A Missional Career is the career of a follower of Jesus who joins in the work of God through that career. Missional Career opportunities exist in faith-based organizations, social service agencies, and secular career environments where Christian believers join in God's work of redemption, reconciliation and renewal in the world.

And too, we are often presented with the idea that to serve the Lord we have to be a pastor, missionary, or Christian educator -- they are the chosen ones whom God has chosen to "call" and "send" into a "ministry."

Not so! In fact, God has chosen you before the foundation of the world and has a specific purpose for you! Not only has God designed us for mission, but he sends all of us to join Him in His work in the world around us.

Christians all over the world are just like you - wishing that their lives really mattered. Wondering if all there is to the Christian life is attending worship services and serving in the social institution we call "church."  But things are changing across the globe. God is raising up a new generation of missional leaders who serve in the mission of God in a world of diverse cultural contexts.
